3D Geometric Morphometrics
June 1st-7th, 2022
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
Please, SUBSCRIBE to our Newsletter if you want to receive information on new editions.
Online live (synchronous) sessions from 16:00 to 21:00 (Madrid time zone).
Live sessions will be recorded. Recordings will be made available to participants for a limited period of time. However, attendance to the live sessions is required.
This course is entitled to teach the main concepts of shape analysis based on three- dimensional landmark coordinates. In this course, you will learn to manipulate 3D models and use them to collect landmark data, take measurements, and to quantify and visualize the main differences in shape.
Graduate or postgraduate degree in Biomedical, Life or Earth Sciences, basic knowledge of statistics. Basic knowledge of Geometric Morphometric is recommended.
A computer (Windows) preferably with a webcam, and a good internet connection.
“It can safely be said that much knowledge was gleaned from our excellent instructor. All in all, the course was a roaring success in my eyes. It has been a memorable trip, I have made many good contacts and hopefully some good friends, all of whom I hope to see on the academic circuit in the near future.”
“I have really enjoyed the class, the instructor was great, and the Kahoot quizzes were super fun. Excellent timely responses for questions and willingness to go over material. It was my first experience with a class like this, as well as online, and it worked out very well. Hope to take more course via Transmitting Science in the future!”
“Congrats for this online course! Although COVID situation will be solved at some point, I encourage you to do Online courses. Great job! Also congrats for Lissa! Great way to explain! very, very clear!”
June 1st-7th, 2022
25 hours of online live lessons, plus 10 hours of participants working on their own.
Live sessions will be recorded. However, attendance to the live sessions is required.
This course is equivalent to 1 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) at the Life Science Zurich Graduate School. The recognition of ECTS by other institutions depends on each university or school.
