Testimonials for this course

3D Geometric Morphometrics (onsite) – 4th edition

“It can safely be said that much knowledge was gleaned from our excellent instructor, Dr. Melissa Tallman. All in all, the course was a roaring success in my eyes and I hope for the rest of the participants also. It has been a memorable trip, I have made many good contacts and hopefully some good friends, all of whom I hope to see on the academic circuit in the near future.”

3D Geometric Morphometrics (online) – 12th edition

“I have really enjoyed the class, the instructor was great, and the Kahoot quizzes were super fun and helped test our knowledge for what we needed to review. Excellent timely responses for questions and willingness to go over material. It was my first experience with a class like this, as well as online, and it worked out very well. Hope to take more course via Transmitting Science in the future!”

3D Geometric Morphometrics (online) – 11th edition

“Congrats for this online course! Although COVID situation will be solved at some point, I encourage you to do Online course or having the 2 options (on site/online) for the most demanded courses (helps to find balance). Great job! Also congrats for Lissa! Great way to explain! very, very clear!”

3D Geometric MorphometricsCourse Overview

This course is entitled to teach the main concepts of shape analysis based on threedimensional landmark coordinates. In this course, you will learn to manipulate 3D models and use them to collect landmark data, take measurements, and to quantify and visualize the main differences in shape.

REQUIREMENTS

Graduate or postgraduate degree in Biomedical, Life or Earth Sciences, basic knowledge of statistics. Basic knowledge of Geometric Morphometrics is recommended.

All participants must have a personal computer (Windows), with webcam if possible, and a good internet connection.
