Claudia A. Szumik

I have specialized in the comparative morphology and phylogenetic studies on the order Embioptera (Insecta), as well as in some theoretical problems in systematics and biogeographic methodology. I focused, in collaboration with Goloboff, in a long-term project on biogeography, which started describing and programming a method to analyse areas of endemism. This method is the only one including a spatial component during the evaluation of areas of endemism. In fact, I with other colleagues already finished several empirical and theoretical projects testing these methods.
