James S. Farris
Founding President of the Willi Hennig Society, the main architect of modern
cladistics. Has published some of the most important papers in the field of numerical cladistics, on almost every aspect of phylogenetic analysis. Coauthor of TNT, and author of the first computer programs that could truly do phylogenetic analysis (e.g. Wagner78, Physis, Hennig86).
